Here’s how it works: When you enter your maximum bid, you have set the maximum amount you are willing to spend. Your bid rises only as others competitively bid. Your amount may or may not reach your maximum bid. For instance, you may enter a $100.00 max bid on a lot, another bidder may have a bid of $50.00, if no one else bids you would pay ONLY the next bid increment plus the buyers premium. Using this feature is helpful if you cannot watch as the sale closes or if you want the convenience to bid and “walk away.”
